1973-79 Full Size Truck/bronco Bumpers Stock Front Stock Rear Winch Prerunner Winch Plate Steel For Sale

Kinda ugly and expensive, but if you want to buy one instead of making one its an option.

I've got a dealer installed brush guard and roll bar from a '78 F250 in Central Illinois. Ready for a fresh coat of paint, otherwise in good shape. PM if interested.

Buy a welder like a Miller 211 and it'll pay for itself reall, really fast. Plus you can be cool and have one-off bumpers, sliders, safari racks, and spare tire racks....and maybe even make a lil money on the side.

Yep, and these trucks couldn't be easier to put a bumper on. frame rails hang lower than anything else... 2 vertical brackets and a piece of rectangular box tubing and youre 80% there.

I made the one for my 75 then installed on my 79, from pipe, flat iron and angle iron. Also rigged it as a spare tire mount.

Okay, I want one too and would like a chrome one but... I do have a small welder and this look like it would be a fun project to try. Anybody got any drawings they can share?

Here's my favorite style:

Break out some cardboard, a sharpie, and a sharp box cutter and start mocking up the end plates. EZ. Lay it out on 3/16ths steel and plasma cut that puppy outta there. Crossbars are simple... Personally, I'd sleeve it for extra strength.

You are right, I shouldn't be so dang lazy! I don't have a plama cutter but I do have a grinder. I can probably get some plate at the local tractor supply store. I get you on the sleeves - good idea. I can probably find some scrap tubing at work too.

Is there any chance you still have these? If so, I'm extremely interested!!! If not, do you have any pictures of them?

So I guess I need to go back to trying to reproduce the factory brush guard and see if I can make it happen this time? I ran in to trouble before with bending the radiuses. The pipe kept kinking.

I came up with an idea to prevent this. I'll have to see if it works or not and see if it'll be worth making them to sell.
