Welcome to FTE!
No 4 speed overdrive transmissions bolt up to the FE. You can bolt up an AOD with an $800 adapter.
And, for use with your truck and engine, you'd need to beef up the AOD, which is at least a couple to several hundred dollars.
An overdrive can be bolted to the back of the C6. $3000 from Gearvendors.
Let me know if you want the links to all this, or if you want to just do some simple arithmetic on this project. You can save gas, but you will not save money.
