Seems like some sellers of old truck parts on e-bay think they done found gold. What's really bad is there are fools out there buying it.

I would have clicked 'Buy It Now' except they removed the internals. At least they are decent enough to include the inspection plates!

50 miles "EAST" of New york city????

I think he might be mistaken. Puts him 10 miles off the coast of Long Island by my figures.

Maybe they are very rare in New York...but if that were the case you would think that someone there would have snapped them up. Or not...

I've seen this seller for a few months and saw their vendor space at the Supernats in pigeon forge, tn...all their prices are outrageous...I guess someone is buying it though?

I am selling the doors and i have to usually pay high to get good quality used parts so that is reflected in the pricing. If you were at the nationals and looked at my parts you would see that i sell all my new parts cheaper than anyone else.
I have been dealing in these parts for over 25 years and have sure seen major changes in the costs.
The fact of the matter is that the days of buying good quality running trucks for $500-$700 are long gone.
Anyway, everyone has an opinion and i welcome your comments good or bad.

Even in Australia where they ARE hard to get that would be considered very high for a pair of bare, average condition doors.....but hey? john

Yeah, the price IS a bit on the "salty" side (as Donald-tacson would say ). I paid just shy of half that at the Nats this year for a perfect pair from one of the guys selling at the swap.

But I guess the difference is, this guy has a business and overhead?? I do know they're getting harder and harder to find....just not sure I would ever pay that though. But to each their own....

On a side note, I also bought quite a bit of new sheet metal for my cab from this guy at the Nats. His prices were definitely competetive on the new stuff and beat most of the vendors prices out there.
