Question Valve guide seals on a 3.8

I have a 2000 Windstar with a 3.8 engine. It has 154,000 miles on it. I have to add about 2 qts of oil between oil changes (every 5,000 Miles) It smokes on start up. I replaced sparkplugs 10 months ago and today changed them again. 4 out of the 6 ere fouled really bad and the other were some what fouled. After replacing the the sparkplugs it runs like a new car. Before replacing the plugs it would miss really bad at low idle.

My question Does the 3.8 engine have replaceable Valve Guide Seals?

When running smooth the windstar get 21 to 22 mpg on the open Highway and 16 to 18 mpg around town

Kruse is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Wow, no replies in three weeks.
Yes, they have removeable seals. RockAuto shows a picture of them. They are relatively simple to replace, but the firewall in your van will make it a little harder to replace.
