1966 econoline ignition upgrade or not?

I have a 1966 econoline supervan I'm purchasing, and plan on doin alot to it over time. In all of my parts searching tosee what's available, I found JCWhitney sells electronic ignitions that replace the points in the distributor, and I'm wondering if this is a good priority or maybe something to save for later? Thanks for any advice whatsoever.

depends what it is. i use the pertronix ignitor points replacement in all my non electronic ignition vehicles. there is one out there in a FT 391 that has almost 750,000 miles on it over the past 32 years
