2006 f250 4x4 Leveling kit

I have searched and read posts seven ways to sunday and still haven't gotten a cut and dry answer so I figured i'd post. I know these level questions have been asked a lot and I apologize if there are better ways to use the search function.

The deal is I just bought my first super duty diesel and I want to do a 2 inch kit up front, being a minimal kit will I maintain factor ride and steering with 2 inch spacers and shock extensions? I plan on having this truck for a long time and don't want to F up the steering geometry with my track bar angle etc.

I have my eye on the ready lift 2.5 kit with the track bar relocation bracket, shock extensions, bump stop extensions etc. for 429.00 shipped ReadyLift Leveling Kit W/ Track Bar Bracket 2005-2007 F250 F350 f450 4WD 66-2515 | eBay

But this is a little pricey for what it is and 2.5 will bull dog me a little and I tow boats all the time and would be further bulldogged under a load hence my desire for a good 2' kit.

So all that being said what do the guru's recommend for a good 2' kit? I want factory ride and steering. I am currently running 285 70 17 bfg at's and will be staying with them. Thank you for any and all input!!

I dont know anything about a 2006, but I would call topgun customz and ask for Jeff, he is a buddy of mine who runs the place, if he cant answer it, he will get one of his people to help you. Tell him I told you to call him. <table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>

leveling kit

By all means topgun customz, good people, i've personaly called in the past with questions and they will give you ins and outs. I have 2006 crew fx4 6.0, just leveled it with 3" it does look bully, but I like it how it looks because I will lift it in a future and personaly like the looks, also i tow a 30' scarab and it does bully even more when hitched, no it will not change any geometricaly in your steering or suspension, you will keep your factory ride,,,a must is to front end allingment it after installed but nothing at front will change. That was my first question to a the allingment shop Sheppards Tires before I bought the kit. I used Supreme Suspensions 3" leveling with shock extensions Ebay $70, did it with a friend on a saturday started at 8 am and done by 1pm, use two jacks and stands, hands clear and very careful with your breake lines when you drop the front axle, make sure you mark the spring coil before removing to install the leveling block, just take your time n u'll be fine.

Other upgrades to your 06 6.0L

Hello Patton,
I was wondering if you've done any other upgrades like coolant filter, egr delete, oil cooler, engine coolant flush or replaced the coolant to the CAT EC1 coolant. More than a few guys here talk about replacing your coolant to what international trucks use EC1, some claim the the ford gold coolant is responsible for the oil cooler clogging up and then the egr overheats, lots of white smoke, low boost and many other consequencial issues due to egr failure.
My truck's got 64k miles and no issues so far but, I've seen guys here having these issues at 50K, others at 150k, I wouldn't like to wait till the bug gets me and i'm planning to flush the engine and replace with the EC1 coolant, i just finish putting together a coolant filter in my garage and if I don't get interrupted with "honey dues" here, will do it tomorrow.
BTW, still have the original egr and would like to delete it, but not having much luck finding a good mechanic that i can trust do it wright, my cousing who works for the county here in manatee works on diesels but I already mentioned it to him, told him will pay him for the job, just wanted done by the book, if not the engine will give you other side effect problems, stalling, not boosting, check engine light, etc. he said yeah,, we'll do it, but still hasn't call.
Anyways I was just wondering if you've done anything like this to your truck or if you have any recomendations.
Hey,,, good luck on the leveling job, take care

Sorry, can't comment on the 6.0 issues.

I have a 7.3L with 329,000 miles and due to change the oil next week.
