This is my first post here, but I've been researching for a few months.

I'm trying to decide on a new truck and am seriously considering a 2012 F-150 FX4 Screwcab w/ 5.0L V8. I've looked at sticker prices and Edmunds estimated invoice pricing, but I want to hear what you guys are actually paying OTD. I'm preparing for the negotiations and I don't want to insult my salesman, but obviously I want the best deal possible, so if I can get some real world OTD prices I'll be able to get a better idea of where I should land on the deal.

Please describe the truck you have by make, model and options. Also sticker price of the vehicle and what you ended up paying for the vehicle when all said and done. Also how many dealers you went to before ending up with the one you have.

Mine is an EcoBoost long bed Screw FX4, max tow without sunroof or Nav. it was 9K off MSRP after rebates (did not get the finance rebate as I went elsewhere) that was last month. I looked at 4 dealers on line, but only went to the one as none of the others would meet the advertised price from my dealer. MSRP was 47343, paid 38343 minus trade plus Tax (9.7%).

 

Traded in our 2010 Taraus, dealer gave us $1800 over what we owed.
2012 Eco-boost, 4x4, Super-crew, after all the rebates, yada, yada, yada, we paid $31k.

 

I have the 5.0 V8 Screw XLT 4x4 with 3.55 axle, 36-gallon tank, chrome step bar, cloth bucket seats, MSRP was $41,000 and I bought it for $31,250 or $10,000 off.

 

my brother bought a 2012 xlt supercrew 5.0 4x4 short bed, running boards, sync, cloth seats, chrome 18's, 3.55s, 36 gal tank for about 42 out the door here in houston.

 

2011 XLT 4x4 Ecoboost. No real frills here. MSRP was about 38K and I walked out for a shade over 29K.

 

Mine is also an Ecoboost FX4 Super Crew with all the toys, MSRP was $49,200 after $2,000 in package discounts, out the door at $39,100 excluding taxes.

 

I just bought a fully loaded Ecoboost FX4 Super Crew last monday. Same MSRP as ri_truck_guy, $49,200 after discounts, and out the door was $38,600 without tax.
