(( starter froze up))

hello friends ,I have a 47 ford flathead V-8 ,and when I drive it awhile and shut it off ,I try to start it and it sounds like the starter is locking up ,you can hear a sound like a clunk noise ,and it wont turn over ,can the starters be rebuilt if that is wahat it is??? Thanks Bill

It may just be a bad bendix, but yes if the starter is shot it can be rebuilt.

Got that issue with the starter on my 52. Took it to the shop today and hope to pick it up tomorrow. I'll let you know what it runs to rebuild it.
