Stripped plug stuck (spinning) in a Triton head. Ideas PLEASE!
Changing plugs, get to last one, it wont come out or tighten back in. Since they have been changed before, I suspect it could be a heli coil. In fact, I'd say its a couple turns from falling out. I tried what tools I could to grab it, nothing is working. I really could use some tips here.

Are you sure about the stripped/Heli-coil? The reason I asked is I've seen this a few times before and it's always been carbon on the shield keeping the plug from pulling out.
Remedy for that is to use a screw driver or something to break the insulator off the plug then use the Lisle tool to extract the bottom part of the plug.

Lisle tool? Never heard of it. But I'll get to googling. Since I have a 2 valve head, its harder to get info on what to do. Good theory, but I'd think it would tighten back up if that were the case. But I sorta gathered that busting up the plug may be necessary. Was hoping for an easier way to do this.
