1992 F150 very hesitant
Another thing with my truck is it's hesitation. It has a full tune up about 2 months ago, I run fuel injector cleaner every couple thousand miles, and I also cleaned the throttle body just earlier today.
The cleaned throttle body helped already, but still lags on power coming from a stop. any ideas on how to get some of the old power back in her?

Your 92' f150 will never have fast response on acceleration that you're looking for unless you start doing some tweaking by modifying and updating parts. Some of those old sensors on your truck may not be working correctly. Get a dianostic done on the computer to see if there is any codes.
How many miles do you have on the motor? Your old truck may still seem to be ticking strong but I'm sure it has seen better days.
If you like your truck and plan on keeping it I would start by converting the Speed Density system to a Mass Air Flow system. You will get maybe 1-2 MPG better fuel mileage and a little bit faster throttle response. Sounds like a pain in the ***? It is...Best just to get a newer model F150 that has Mass Air on it all ready or a older model that has a carburetor on it. Can't really do much with the Speed Density setup. IF you look at your exhaust pipe it's probably black. That's because of the Speed Density setup not measuring Air to Fuel ratio. Get the Mass Air Flow sensor working you can do just about any thing you want with the motor till you blow it up.
Don't get me wrong you can still do mild modifications to the truck.
Intake, Air filter, Throttle body, Throttle body spacer, Intake manifold, Coil, Plugs, Plug Wires, Cap and Rotor, Chip, Transmission shift kit and programming it right, Rear End Gears, Muffler, Headers, Y-Pipe or true duel exhaust. Change the fuel filter and pull the gas tank and check for major rust build up. Those are just examples. As you go deeper in the motor like Cam and Heads your gonna start running into problems with the Speed Density not registering the Air-Fuel Ratio correctly. It may run not up to its true potential.
