Where to start learning the skills?
As a high schooler looking whose plans are to go to automotive school and wanting to start as young as possible now that I got a older truck. I was wondering where I can start and stuff I could do to teach myself and to pass the time during this boring summer till my auto tech classes start.
Also sorry if this is in the wrong section I am getting tired.

Like you I started young with an old truck.. I got my first one shortly before I turned 14.
Get a Haynes or Chilton manual for your truck. They can be handy. I learned most of the stuff I know now by just getting out and doing something. I would look around at something and be all "hey, there are a few bolts here.." and I would take them out to see what would happen. That works ok for most non engine and driveline related components. When it comes to engines, read read read. The internet is a vast place, and Google can be your best friend.
