Brake Pads

About to do brake job on my 2008 Superduty and was wondering what pads you guy's are using. I tow pretty heavy most of the time and I'm looking for something heavy duty.

look at HAWK HP pads we have those on all our fleet 28 ambulances even on our trl hauler and trl. little to no brake dust thier online deff worth what they cost just n idea

I got some EBC pads, read up on them. I'm really not that happy with them, lots of dust and squeaky but they are grippy. I'm just so-so with them. Not bad, might be great for other folks though.

Installed Hawk LTS pads about 2500 miles ago. Stops great, no noise or dust

I'm glad you shared this, I never heard that about EBC pads before. I guess you can't have everything...I know that most low-dust ceramic pads don't grip as well so the inverse makes sense to me.

I also put the Hawks on my truck. Like said previously; low brake dust, good stopping so far.

I've used EBC brand pads on ATV's and they are terrible for that market not sure about trucks though.

I recently changed my pads and stuck with the OE pad.

I thought about changing to ceramic pads and talked to my mechanic about the idea. He's a pretty sensible guy and his reply was " somethings gotta wear out... pads or rotors"...IMO it's cheaper to replace pads than rotors any day!

Just my 2 cents worth!

I recently changed my front pads with EBC. They squeaked a little for the first 1000 miles but now they are fine. I think when I change them again I'll just go with the OEM.
