New 2013 Explorer owner

I bought my wife a new 2013 Explorer yesterday. We opted for the ecoboost. I was worried about the power untill I drove it.

My wife loves it. She was tired of feeding the Excursion. So I inheriated it.

I love the Excursion. We have had it for 5 Years. It has 170000 miles on it. We hav put 116000 of them on it. It has been one of the good 6.0's. No major problems. A little maintaince here and there.

I actually traded my 08 F150 in so I could keep the Ex.

I wish I could get 27 mpg with my 2013 EcoBoost. I'm at about 20. Of course, the stoplights on the highway I have to drive up and down everyday are perfectly sequenced so I have to stop at every single one of them....just like all the other lights in the Houston area.

I've got to go up to Dallas in a couple of weeks so I'm interested in seeing what it will really do on the highway

Congratulations. My wife's got her eyes peeled for a new Explorer. She hasn't seen the exact one she's looking for yet.

We have put 6500 miles on it. A trip to Orlando we averaged 26 MPG.

She just came back from a trip to Kansas City where she averaged 24-25 mpg.

We like it alot. it sure is saving me money on fuel.
