ARP install finally done
Well I FINALLY got my truck back on the road since the ARP install, everything is fine exept for a leaking valve cover gasket
Now I want to see how much boost I can get out of my old 093, I know I can just plug the hose on the turbo to eliminate the wastegate. But can I just take it off and forget about it? I mean, that would be pretty simple, to just get it out of the way. What do yall thingk, plug the hose or take the whole WG off?
Other than that, Im done with "performance mods" for now. Now Im going to focous on buying my RSK and other 4x4 coversion stuff and get that done...finally. I need to decide whether to mod the hell out of my frame to run V code SD springs, or just use OBS ones. Im torn between the two

I just used duplicolr rattle can becauce thats what matched my truck, but I painted my valve covers along time ago with the same paint and it held up...so hopefully it will hold up on the turbo.
As for the intake, just from threads iv seen here on FTE. I think the best way to do it is to relocate the overflow tank and washer fluid tank. then take a 3.5 inch OD 90 degree elbow and run it in 3.5 or 4 inch pipe over to the drivers fender well with a 6637 filterr and a pre-filter. Thats my thoughts anyway, not sure what to do with the cdr yet.

Thanks, man I pluggerd the wastegate and drove it for about a day and I could on read like 12 psi. I think its my boost gauge though, it only reads anything when Im at WOT. So I stopped messing with it untill I can buy a new boost gauge. Im looking at buying isspro ev2's. I need about 400 dollars worth of gauges lol
The axle will be under the truck hopefully around nov/dec. Im buying the RSK, leaf springs, trac bar and so on, hopefully by the end of the month. And I cant wait to get it done, becauce then I can start my holset hx40 project

Alright I need help choosing leaf springs right quick
I originally planned on using SD springs, but Iv decided against it becauce of the amount of fabrication it would require to my frame. Using OBS springs should be a breeze. And being 17, I really dont give a damn about the way the truck will ride.
So heres my plan, I want to atain 4 inches of lift, racindrummins truck has the stance I want. Im going to use ORU'S 2.5in. RSK. So I need a set of 2in. leaf springs, Iv priced skyjacker and tuff country leafs at darn near 700 bucks for the set...obviously Im wondering if yall know of any other brands or places to buy leaf springs cheaper. 700 bucks would set me back quite a bit
Also, I have a set of 4in. leaf springs that came with the D60. Could I take some leafs out of the stack to make it a "smaller" lift? I dont really want a 6.5 inch lift

Go to a junkyard and get the SD springs. You might not care about the ride right now, but you might after its done. Plus at 17, you might be getting interested in the ladies, and they don't want to ride in a truck that rides like chit.
If you're doing a RSK kit anyways, you can easily modify it to account for the 4in longer length of the SD springs. When I put the D60 in my truck, with crappy flat F250 leaf springs, it raised the front of the truck 5 inches at the wheel arches. When I just swapped in the SD springs, I raised the spring eye into the frame an inch or 2, and it still raised the truck about an inch, using the RSK kit, it would probably be greater than that.
I think you'll be fine with the SD springs and save some money. Sell off the 4in lift springs that came with the truck to regain more money/pay for the rsk.
