I dont have the rear bracket that goes under the body mount, but iirc the sky kit comes with it. And yes, removing the front coils and all that iss gonna be a bitch, but it oughta be worth it in the end

The sky kit does not include the rear bracket, but it does look like they have them available to purchase

Using the torch is the plan lol

What kind of paint do yall recomend to paint my frame and axles? I know its been discussed in different threads, I just dont feel like reading 10 pages to get a good opinion. I just want the paint to last and not rust, this truck sees the beach alot. I could always use trusty old rustoleum, but if theres something signifigently better out there Id like to hear about it

Got my SMF conversion kit yesterday, the plan is to tear the truck down in about a week and do the swap. Hell yeah. One quick thing, what oil do yall run in you ZF5's and t-case's? I want to run good shtuff.

Also, I painted my crossmember with paint from KPS coatings, its bad *****. I recomend using this paint on frames, axles, or whatever. The package in the mail said something about hammer proof...so I beat on it with a hammer and it still looked good lol

On every ZF I've seen, those 2 holes are open.

Well, mine where open, and also the T19 bell housing had a hole, but it was a little different. I wouldn't worry about them. Not much junk gets up there often anyway. They simply help keep the clutch cooler. Man I wish I had a good ZF. If only I can find one. Keep up the good work.

No prob man. Good luck on the swap and take LOTS of pics. When I was doing the tranny swap in my truck, I drove my mom's 03 Expedition. Not a bad car. It has plenty of go.

The ZF5 came out of a 93, so the gauge cluster was electronic iirc. It has the speedo sensor on the transfer case. My c6 is in an 86 truck so the speedo is mechanical...how do I get around this? I need my speedo to work lol

Did a ZF5 2wd ever have a speedo port? I don't know much about the C6. Sorry. Oops, back to the conversion. How is it coming along?
