Job1,Job2...Discuss..

Hey guys,lets discuss the differences in the different"jobs" pertaining to the 6.4.I assume job1 is early,no brainer there,but when did they change to job2,what are the issues with job1 as to job2,and how do you distinguish one from another and so on...Thanks...Phil

Ok after a little searching I see there are lots of differences in the different jobs,so lets discuss the trouble changes and fixes,not just the facial differences..Thanks

We need to know what year and model. My 08 450 job 1 has couple that apply to just the 450.

I'm no expert but I don't think there was much difference. The job 2s have a longer air dam under the front bumper and I think they had the little T hose up dated.

Job 1 have the external transmission filter.

Wasn't july when they started Job 2 trucks? Either way consider your self lucky.

There was a thread on the forum a while back on this subject. I think the consenus opinion was that when they changed the tranny to an inside filter they had a lot of the others left, so the heavy towing trucks F450 and F350 DRW got the updated ones first while SRW trucks still got the external until they uised them up. But, I haven't heard any bad tranny reports on either one.
