Installing flat deck. What to do for fuel filler??

What materiel are you using for the flat deck?
Wood?
Steel?
You can drill a round hole in the wood or cut a hole in the steel and install the fuel filler going through the hole to the tank. Just remember not to loose the cap cause if it rains your gonna have water running down in your tank.
-OR-
Just have some straps holding up the fuel filler hose. Angle it like it was never moved at stock location.
-Or-
Want to do it cheap? Just get flexible, bendable tin and wrap it around the filler hose and bolt or clamp it together and clamp or bolt it to the top of the flat bed.
-or-
get a fuel tank mounted on your flat bed
-or-
Even cheaper red neck way we use down here in Texas is this stuff called rope. We just rap it up and it works as good as new. LOL
-or-
If your looking for more professional way. I'd need to see some pictures of the vehicle your working on. You could install side toolbox's below the flat bed to the left and and the right of the rear wheels to cover the hose and have it part of the tool box.

There's a couple pics of the deck. If you look close you can see 2 holes in the drivers side board where they used to be on the truck I got it off of but they were missing when I got to it.
By mounting them ontop of the bed I'm worried Iay break them or is there a metal locking cap that will fit?

Something like that>? You know what's funny about that. I can just picture the hose and the clamp below the bed and that high tech fuel door lol

You can mount it similar to these pictures:

Only issue with something like that is if the cap is below the deck boards but mounted so it's flat then it will fill with snow and crap in the winter and I won't be able to get to it. I was thinking something to replace the plastic cap so it won't break as easy. But having the door ontop of the bed I can see becoming an issue.
I donk know where I'd even look for the ones that they use when they manufacture decks

I meant If I have it vertical with the cap ontop of the deck like how there's holes there I would be worried about breaking The cap and if I recess it into the top of the deck an put a door over it then in the winter it would freeze up and fill with snow/slush and be a PITA
Both my old flatdecks had the filler above the bed but I didn't like either setup. I'm guessing they ha it like that to not have the slow fill issue
Just behind the cab on the drivers side
On the passenger side bout halfway
