are wheels spacers safe?

are wheels spacers safe if you by ones made specific for your truck? It would really help out the look of my super duty. also where is the best place to buy them?

I guess it depends on what you are doing with it and how thick of spacer. I don't like them no matter what. They move the leverage point out and you rely on that little piece of aluminum to support everything. I know plenty of people use them all the time.

For "show" I would say okay. For towing/hauling I wouldn't. But that's me.

If you get a set cut correctly, maybe even including a hub ring, and you just use them to correctly space the mid-line of the wheel (as in putting 05+ wheels on 99-04 SDs), they're probably fine. If you're using them to space out the wheels really far, or to put on wheels that otherwise wouldn't fit, then probably not a good idea.

I know lots pf people using them with no issues, but none of them tow or haul anything heavy

Yea 99% of the time im just running the truck empty. I just wanted to make sure with a lift and big tires that it wouldnt be a problem waiting to happen.

Yeah your wheel bearings will wear out faster and probably ball joints too, but thats about the only problems you should have.
