Can anyone assist in decoding the VIN on my old Ford/Vanette Parcel Van?

Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone can help decode a VIN tag from an old Ford chassis parcel van I bought? Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to FTE! we would love to see more pictures of your van. We love pictures.
Well I did a quick search and found where NumberDummy decoded another van with a similar vin:
"P35JU13976
P35 = P350 Parcel Delivery / 5,000 lb. Rear Axle Capacity / 8,000 GVWR
J = 223 I-6 1V
U = Louisville KY Ford Truck Assembly Plant
13976 = 1957"
That gets you closer although your vin is a little different.
Am I reading that correctly? Yours says P35J7U?
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.

The 7 in the vin string is likely the year, 1957. I believe that these vans were made way up into the 1970s.
