1971 F250 4x4 hub caps

Hello members! I recently purchased a 1971 F250 4x4 and I know it doesn't have the correct hub caps. My search for "1971 hub caps 4x4" did not get the results I wanted. Can anyone show me pics of the correct hub caps I should be hunting for?

1971 F250 4x4 hub caps

That's a good question, I've often wondered that too. I saw one guy cut out the front caps for the hubs on the typical 2wd caps. Looked pretty good, could have even been stock for all I know.

Here's a closer view, don't know if the "hole" ones are stock, all the literature shows no caps on the front of the 4x4's

I have those exact hub caps on my 1978 4x4. The front hub caps have a hole in the center for the manual hubs. Does anyone know if Ford made them this way.

Well if Ford did it I would guess it would be a punched hole rather than a cut-out hole. Does it look like the hole in your hub caps were machine punched?

Excellent point, I'll have to check them out when I get home tonight, never thought of looking at the edge of the hole, thanks for the idea,

I don't think the 71 F250 4x4's came with hub caps, only the F100's. I too have the stock 2x4 caps with the holes drilled out of them on the front. We are a rare breed who like the stock look! All the brochures I've seen show the F250 4x4 without caps.

check my gallery, I have stockers on my 71. Not sure if the 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons used the same hubcaps, though.

78f3504x4, Those hub caps look like 15"s from the early Bronco's.

Wouldn't you know it, this weekend I went out and beat the hell outta my truck 4 wheelin and crushed one of my caps! I got stuck in some thick mud, borrowed, or stole, a farmers mini bulldozer to pull it out. Then drove through a washed out road and crushed the cap, snapped of a valve stem. My Hi-Lift jack got jammed from all the mud and I crushed my ring finger changing the tire, breaking the bone on the tip when I pinched it between the jack and handle. DOH!! My truck is out of aliegnment, I bent the fender, dented passenger quarter panel and broke my finger. What a weekend! But I now know how to drive a bulldozer!!!!

Yes, the F100s and the Broncos used the same hubcaps, the ones I have on my 71 are the originals.
