Mods Please Delete

Hey guys! I bent the hell outta my flexplate taking my tranny out and I need one ASAP! As in before 7/10/12 (mods can delete this thread after that date). I ordered one from O Reillys and thats when itll be here and I REALLY need one sooner than that. I gotta use the truck the day after that and... well.... the trannys sittin next to it lol. 24 hours to install a tranny is cuttin it close. If youve got one and live fairly close, I can drive to pick it up. If you live a bit further away and can sell it to me for cheap, I can possibly pay to next day it here (depending on price), but would much rather just drive to get it. Thanks guys!

Uh huh, but you bought a made in China flexplate from O'Reilly, not the genuine Ford flexplate made in the USA from FTE sponsor Tousley Ford in MN

Ever wonder why the US trade deficit with China is over THREE TRILLION DOLARS? Buying made in China parts from chain autoparts stores, shopping at Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot & Lowes are some of the reasons why.

What? Buying a "supposedly" chinese flexplate because it was $15 cheaper? Hows that treating it bad?

The tensile strength of Chinese made steel is about half of what US steel tensile strength is.

How long will the made in China flexplate last? Quien sabe. How long did your original made in USA flexplate last...before you bent it?

More like putting sub-par parts on it and letting the next guy fix it when it breaks.

My BIL was the CCO (Chief Corporate Attorney) of Checker Auto Parts (included Shucks, Kragen & Murray). When bought out by O'Reilly, he retired.

Since Checker sold mostly made in China parts, I would assume O'Reilly does too. Ditto Auto-Zone and other chain autoparts stores.

US law since circa 1900: Imported goods sold in the US must be marked with the country of origin. Look on the box, see what it says.
