e4od accumulator body

I have a 1997 expedition with 4wd and the e4od transmission and it has the 1-2 harsh shift problem and I bought a kit and hopefully this kit will fix it.

TransGo | E4OD/4R100: SK E4OD

I just ordered it yesterday and and I just want to fix the 1-2 shift and I was wondering if this kit will work? It only has one valve in the kit are they all the valves on all the accumutators the same? also does anyone know which one is the 1-2 accumuator in the body? there are 4 of them I just want to fix the right one?
this link shows that the 1-2 accumulator is on the right side bottom. can anyone confirm this?

It's usually just a busted 1-2 accumulator spring that causes the harsh 1-2 shift.

Yes that is the 1-2 accumulator in the diagram. Use the Transgo shift kit instructions to guide you, they are much better than those in that link. That is a great shift kit, I use that on all E40D and 4R100 transmissions I build and it all ways turns out great. Keep in mind that some of this shift kit is for the pump and one of the drums inside the trans, but it will work just fine to just use the springs and valve for the valve body.

The biggest reason the E40D has a hard 1-2 shift is due to codes stored in the computer. Before you do anything make sure you are not dealing with a different issue. Have it scanned for codes.

The broken 1-2 accumulator spring is generally found in the 4R70W transmission.
