On another note, I made a run down to Ft Worth last week in the B2300, and got 26.5 MPG with it, in spite of the ethanol blended fuel and A/C running full tilt.

That's pretty good mileage. I'm averaging around 22-24 going to and from work.

Saw this line in a comment on a usatoday article. I'm thinking of adding it to my signature.
If it don't got the blue oval, it ain't got my approval.

Nope, didnt catch the guys. I'm sure they will be back. For now TPD will be making drivebys for the next 15 days. As for calling 911, the officer we spoke with actually said to call 911, but specify it's not an emergency, if so. That will get you through to an officer directly. All the switchboard numbers listed on the TPD website will have you sitting on hold forever if you dont call 911.

I'm wondering if you had called 911 and said someone was trying to break into your place of work, how would it have been handled.

Ya, next time we'll see what happens. We've got a big dumpster out front that we've been tossing stuff out in, for the last few months. That is just a big magnet for the dumpster divers and tweakers.

Just last week someone broke into a vehicle across the street during the day. That company contacted ours to review our security tapes to see if they could identify the perp or vehicle.

Sigh.....gotta love workin in North Tulsa. ..... sigh.

I was a bit surprised by the 26.5 number, since I have the EGR disabled. That should have hurt the MPG a bit.

I should note that the EGR was disabled as a "workaround". It would continually throw up a CEL for "excess EGR flow", and had a bad "tip-in" stumble while driving around town. It needs an EGR restrictor added, but I don't feel like taking the time tear into it. I suspect the original one has burned out. 170K miles can do that......
Was much easier to just cap off the vac hose, and ignore that light on the dash....... Especially considering it runs MUCH better, particularly around town, where I spend 90% of my time driving it.

Afternoon, to you! It is a good time of year, that is true.

Good time, it is. But, then, so is Spring. And I'm looking forward to Winter as I'm hoping we get the snow as we badly need the moisture - as you are well aware.

Btw, what's your first name - Brett Smith didn't know you by JW.

Wow, October is just a couple days away. C'mon cool fall weather.

Anyone going to the Tulsa State Fair? Not me. Way too overpriced everything. We went once as a family, and that was more than enough.

Anyone going to the Blues and BBQ event in Fayetville? I'm missing out this year, but hopefully next year I'll drive my motorcycle out to the shin dig. There's a group from my church heading out tomorrow morning, on their hogs. The weekend weather sounds like it's gonna be great.

I'm having withdrawals from my bike. Had to drive my truck the last two days. I'm getting my VZ800 back out today and taking her to work, rain or shine.

Saturday and Sunday they are supposed to hold Tulsa's first Food Truck Festival. Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium - Events

Next weekend (Fri-Sun) I will be at TRP, participating in the 2012 SCCA RallyCross Nationals. Action starts early saturday, all day, and again early Sunday, but should wrap up around 2pm.
If anyone wants to come watch for a bit, come on out. No charge for spectating. Just try to stay upwind, unless we get a lot more rain.......
