Ignition problem in my 90

Hi, all,

I have a problem with my ignition. The truck will start, but when I release the key into the "run" position, it stops. When I turned the key slowly, I noticed that the gauges will turn on, and then turn off in the middle of the "run" position. They turn back on in the "start" position. So basically, there's a "dead zone" where I have a bad connection. I replaced the key cylinder and nothing changed. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The ignition switch (not the cylinder).
