Sorry RRHD, No picture but I'm going to bounce this back up cuz I'm working on the same problem. Got a complete exhaust system and the shop manual picture is helping but...

Thanks Ross, I just got back from the Mufflerman. Had to get the pipe on one end of the muffler expanded a bit. Also recommended cutting four slits in the pipe to aid in clamping.
Never thought of looking at my model collection. Three different hangers to deal with and no sure which one goes where. Trial and error I guess. Thanks again.

I thought you were looking for the routing. This is about all that is shown on the hangers in the parts manual.

Well, I think I finally got the hangers figured out. On page 20 of the 1949-50 Shop Manual there are exhaust diagrams for 8 and 6 cylinder. Used hints from both of them to get it installed. Still have to tighten everything and pull the front of the muffler away some from the frame.
Course it is 88 degrees and very high humidity for my day off and no breeze either. Done sweatting for a while. Maybe it'll cool down some later and I can tighten everything up.
Hope RRHD got his system installed too. Thanks fo the help Ross.

It took me a while but I think I have the hanger locations figured out. Here are some pictures of what I did.

Front of Muffler.

Rear of Muffler outside of the Frame.

Rear of the Muffler inside the Frame.

Hanger Above the Axle.

Rear Hanger.

I think I will get a longer bolt and add a spacer to the clamp after the muffler between the frame and bracket to better align the muffler and move it away from the frame.
