New 6.4 Owner
Hey all,
I usually lurk up in the '87-'96 forum, but I recently picked up a new set of wheels. She's an '08 F-250 Lariat with the 6.4 Power Stroke backed by a 6 speed manual. Yep, a rare beast. I wasn't looking for a Lariat in particular so that's a bonus. It also came with a Rhino Liner and B&W gooseneck hitch. I've been searching for a SuperCrew shortbed with a manual for months and stumbled upon this one on Craigslist. The guy I got it from brought it up from North Carolina this year. He bought it from the dealer who sold and serviced it since new. The guy who had it traded it in on a 2012 Lariat, and it has the 20s off of that truck. I was told there were aftermarket wheels on it and he wanted them on his new truck.
The previous owner also did the DPF delete and SCT LiveWire. Future mods include an EGR delete, coolant filter, intake, and a South Bend clutch when the time comes. With just shy of 66k on the clock, I'm looking forward to many years and miles with this rig

Quad Racer: It's a Lariat grille, the inserts are Pueblo Gold instead of black. Are you possibly thinking of the chrome package grille?
redford: They're Michelins. Eventually I want to get a set of 18" wheels to ease the pain of buying tires a little lol. And running back and forth to work, the info center averages about 18.5-19 MPG. I haven't had it long enough to hand calculate, but the previous owner said it was always very close. Bringing it home running on a long, flat stretch of highway, it was holding steady at 24.6 MPG with the cruise set at 65 MPH and the A/C on.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on mileage, but I don't believe anything people just tell me about their mileage. My LoM has said up to 32 before and usually hovers around 24MPG. I actually have gotten a max of 17.75MPG but average just shy of 16MPG. And I have the data from 16k miles to prove all my mileage.
Not to bring down your mileage enthusiasm, but but i would suggest to expect lower and be pleasantly surprised with higher mileage.
