Video - 2011 F250 being loaded with 3,465 lbs of Marble Stone

2011 F250 Super Duty being loaded with 3465lbs of Marble Rock - YouTube

Wife and I decided to do some landscaping so we ended up making 3 trips to Lowes to pick up 3 pallets of Marble. This was the second trip. 63 Bags at 55lbs per bag. The truck's butt dropped about 2" and sat perfectly level when loaded with the weight. They ended up having to hand load the bed because I have a BedRug Bed Cover and they could not slide the pallet up without tearing it. I have Timbren SRS and Pro-Comp Dual Add-A-Leaf, Bedrug. I was very suprised how well the truck handled the weight. That is a lot of weight for any 3/4 ton truck. This is a good video showing how the 2011/2012/2013 F250 would handle that much of a load. I know tires were the weak point but I had no issues at all. Truck road like a Lexus!

I wonder how much she would have squatted without that AAL? how hard does she ride unloaded with that AAL?

I'm sure the squat would have been pretty bad. The trucks rides about the same with the AAL vs before. Both my wife and I couldn't really notice a difference. I've heard others with pre-2011 models complain but thus far I haven't heard anyone with a 2011+ complain.

WOW, three loads ?!? Sore today ?
the hardest thing to think about is having to unload and move all that rock myself
(hope you put a lot of weed cloth under it !) don't ask me how I know !

was worried about them pushing that palet around and then I saw the cardboard under, but still !!!

Then they set it down on your TAILGATE !!! OUCH from the popping cables ! why I have a utility trailer they can bang up all they want

Yeah, LOTS of backaches today. My poor wheel barrow was hating me yesterday. The first load had 50 bags, second had 63, and third had 63. I took a few off the top and put them between the tool box and the pallet as a buffer.

The tailgate weight was bothering me but I wasn't going to say anything as long as they didn't set the entire load on the gate. Plus, video evidence can really help if something had been broken.

The second 2 loads made a noticable difference while driving. The first load really improved the ride of the truck.

I have a trailer but didn't feel like getting it out for such a simple load. Anything heavier and I would definatly use it.

What is the weight capacity limit of my truck anyways? I figured around 3000lbs.

Here is a picture of the finished product:

3,465lbs Truck probably would have been dragging *** without the susp mods you did. Handled it like a champ with them.

Those guys that loaded the stone need to be introduced to grease (to stop the squeaking) and fork extensions.

My grandfather and i loaded his 99 superduty with 30 bales of hay stacked 4 high above the rails, the hay is usuall 110-130lbs. That is an interesting and slow drive, but that was all before he got his 20ft flatbed now loading 110 bales is no problem other than loading it by hand

i have a add-a-leaf on my 2004 F350 and love it, the 99-04 are pretty good on payload squat but it was still a little too much for me. The add-a-leaf made quit a difference and the truck now rides like it should, with 3500lbs it only squats a little which is what i want. And your truck is killer!

I loaded my old '99 with 35 bags of 80lb sakrete last week....it squatted like a doodooing dog.....but it hauled it just fine. Just got as set of airbags to go on it.....the old springs are a bit weak.....and I did use my Bobcat to unload it.

Nice truck BTW

Looks like a Lowes with the red vests.... they gave me the keys to the lifts when I was 19 years old, after only watching 2 hours of safety videos and moving some empty pallets around in receiving. Lots of "trial and error" learning going on at the box stores, usually at the customer's expense Watch out for the young ones in the summer, odds are they'll get uncomfortably close to sticking a fork into your bedside or crumpling your tailgate.

Next time ask if they have fork extensions for the lift. I did the same except it was cement bags at Home Depot. After a brief description of what they were ( use them at work) to the part timer he found a set and saved me a possible wrecked gate and less shoving the truck in park.
