Hey guys, finally got some new video of TUX in action. We decided it's first race with the 428 should be against my SVT Cobra =) The 428 is getting stronger the more it breaks in, it seems. Not to bad considering I still have the crappy 352 heads on it..

Thanks guys. I cant wait to put some built heads on it. I couldn't afford to do built heads at the time of the build. But I'm thinking next tax time I'll do it. Then it should really come alive.

Mikes, I'm shifting at 5k. I dont take her much over 5200rpm. My cam goes til 5500 I believe.
FFR, thanks. I'm in the process of putting a Vortech supercharger on my Cobra currently but sometimes my truck is more fun to play with.
9 years ago today I picked out Tux from a buddies backyard so I love this time of year. I was 17 years old and I found this forum. Man time flys. Happy 4th of July to everyone!!

If you don't mind
give me your motor build specs and i'll run a desktop dyno
and post results , i see you had it on the dyno
so i'd like to compare sim to actual dyno results .

4.13 x 3.98, 9.75 comp. fully balanced
Crane 344342 cam/lifters
428CJ iron intake
polished C6 or 7 heads
high vol pump 80lb oil pressure cold/all oil mods
ARP stuff, motorsport windage tray
Holley 670 vac sec (dyno tuned)
longtube headers, full 2.5 exhaust, H pipe, flow 40's
I never got any real numbers at the dyno tune since the motor was so fresh he didn't wan to take it over 4000rpm.
Thanks man!

Nice, thanks man! I've heard at least 40hp increase with heads. Rob @ blue oval will be building the heads. Best bang for buck is bare edel's with oversize valves, he likes. He also notes that in his testing the factory 428cj intake flows real well and is worth bux.. I plan on keeping it only suck part is it weighs 80lbs!

Had a couple minutes , and had your profile saved so made the changes
1 performer rpm intake
2 750cfm carb
3 edelbrok performer heads
wow did it wake up!
Certainly a nice looking, strong running truck. I don't condone "racing" on public roads, though it appears you were in a well deserted area with plenty of visibility.
