I meant to post these pictures sooner but just now got around to it. I don't know why the cooler can't be cleaned while it's installed. Nice chunk of aluminum but doesn't seem very complicated. Not that expensive either in the end, guess might as well put a new one in since you would have to remove the old one to clean it.

here is an example of a cut in half oil cooler from a 6.0 very similar to what on the 6.4, its the very tiny rows that get clogged with sediments that cause the issue.

The oil cooler on the 6.4 is tucked under lots of stuff. Turbos have to come off to get to it. To get the turbos off the downpipe has to come off. They said the cab had to come off to access the downpipe. Only took them a day and a half to get it back to me but cost a chunk.
Don't ever let anyone add coolant to your system unless you know it's Ford Gold. That stuff does not mix with Universal Green Antifreeze...it will gel up and clog the cooler.
