Talking 2005 headlights on 2002 Escape

Hi everyone, this my first thread on this forum

So, recently I became owner of 2002 Escape, since mom got a new one
and since comparing to updated 05 models 02 headlight look just ugly. Now, they seem to be about the same size, so my question is: Will updated headlights fit 2002 model?

Thanks

Yes, they will physically fit but aren't plug-n-play... you have to do some rewiring.
The conversion has been posted over at another escape forum, but I don't recall which one.

Edit:
Headlight upgrade? see replies by jpark

Headlight Upgrade see replies & wiring diagram by jpark.
Please note that he has a warning that the wiring modification cannot be used w any kind of daytime running lamp circuit or module.

Cool, I've been looking at JPark's info on that forum.

I'm looking at the process used and I would never go that route with the "blue connector thingy".
Better to hit up the J yard and get the correct connectors and solder/shrink tube the wires as required.

I do have to admit though, I do like those lights....

Did you mean this one??

and get an actual pigtail like this?

goldash03 from that forum mentioned in other post that you can find these pigtails @ junk yard off of older Focus, 03-newer expedition,03-newer navigator and edge.
I'm thinking of going to a yard tomorrow for them.
