I enjoyed this one quite a bit. That is a big transformation on this truck. Nice work and keep us posted! I'll be looking for you next week as we are driving for a vacation at home this year (Olympia Area) from Sacramento. Look for a white F250 pulling a Genesis 23' toyhauler!
Nice sort of second phase Dave. How is the wiring portion? A huge pain, or more just time consuming?
I've been looking at 3v 4.6 motors recently, but the wiring intimidates me, the 5.0 is just out of my price range.

For me it's just the time involved, and me being a cheap *** having to source and modify junkyard parts. I have done a few EFI swaps and total rewires so nothing new, just have to be meticulous about labeling things and getting all the info needed. I had to get a tuner for the 2001 Cobra ECU I chose for the swap so I could disable a few items. The old 300six EFI ran fine on a stock tune.
It just takes alot of research and patience.
On that note got a few more parts today. Got a 2 piece driveshaft so I can get something to work after moving the engine/trans around.
Got a sway bar setup from an 84' Bronco so I can have a rear sway bar. That bolted right in since I have a 84' Bronco rear axle now.
And have half assed a cross member to clear the near exhaust. I still have alot of work to do on the cross member.
I preface this with I am not the worlds greatest fabricator, hahaha. Got the crossmember finished up good enough to not twist apart when I get this thing fired up. Also got the midship driveshaft figured out and mounted up as well. Ordered some new bushings for the 84' Bronco sway bar and got that all mounted up as well.
Worked on some of the exhaust ran all new brake lines, relocated proportioning valve and installed a line lock. Scuffed and painted headers since the coating was a bit rough.
