EEEK, Time to find a rent house, anybody have some good leads? In the KCMO area. I work on the southeast side near the bannister complex, so the closer the better.

Also dont have any plans for the 4th, so I should probably figure out what local fireworks are going to happen...
What's your budget? There are a bunch of houses for rent in Raytown. The cheapest I've seen is $925 a month.

Trying to stay under 750 a month. Just need a 1 or 2 bedroom. Prefer ranch style, and must have a garage.

Thanks!

Good Morning Everybody!

Wow, stuff is expensive up there. $925 would get a 5 bedroom house on acreage with a huge shop around here. The commute would be a killer, though. 2 1/2 hours each way to work could get old in a hurry.

I'm gonna see if I can get this truck to start today. Wish me luck. I have to go get a schrader valve tool for the new A/C systems and see if I can get this other car to stop seeping freon from the charge ports.

For that kind of coin a month, you might as well buy one......

Yea Terry "rockets red glare" is not a thing I want to see around here, anytime, let alone tomorrow.

Agreed, I dont want to pay out the nose for an awesome house, when it isnt even mine. I'm fine with a basic house so long as it has a garage for a few years!

Not quite ready to buy at this point.

Did you get the Slo Reilly shop sale flyer? It has loads of A/C tools on sale.

Good morning all. Nothing done last night. Started laying out some stripes on a hood and not 1/2 hr into it my bad eye was hurting so bad I had to take a morphine tablet to quell the pain. I was out cold by seven. It feels pretty dang good this morning though. The pain just comes on randomly and goes away about as suddenly. My salesman here at work made a batch of smoked wings and brung them in today...tasty tasty, might be best ever. Now to finish my morning milk and clean my office.

That is going to be hard to find in this ecconomy. The ones that are $925 are two or three bedroom ranch, single car garage that maybe a Mini Cooper would fit in.

I've found a half dozen that I plan on checking out later this week for around 700-750$. Not looking for a nice neighborhood, just as long as its quiet and I dont have to be paranoid about break ins.

Have you thought about getting a little more south east of KC, like Harrisionville??

I really to not know the area, to make a suggestion but I figure the further away from KC the cheaper, trade a lower rent amount for a little longer drive??

Good luck...

I've looked at it, but the price difference in rent wouldnt directly correlate to my increase in gas costs of commuting. Not to mention living in NoVA and driving around D.C. for a few years has made me hate traffic.

Evening All!

I got the '56 breathing today. I got it fired up, tuned in and the cam broke in. All I need to do so I can drive it is fabricate some sort of throttle linkage. The pedal assembly and linkage are radically different between the six and 8 cylinder.

Humph. The in-laws are trying to adopt my truck.

I'm not too terribly worried about it, if I don't have to haul a lawnmower over there to mow their yard, I don't really need the truck right now anyway.

Today was driver orientation day with USPS.

Thursday morning, I'll go train on one specific vehicle.

Friday, I'll go "shadow" riding with an existing carrier.

Saturday remains to be seen...

Monday, I'll go train on another specific vehicle.

Tues, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week, I'll be in Independence, MO attending USPS "carrier academy" classes.

Nothing like guberment work...
