Looks like most are staying busy around this place. Rich you should be home before too long shouldn't you?
I've had Ka'Bluey out for a few joy rides lately, that's about it. Other than that, been somewhat busy "Chasing Fires" the last few day's. We sure needed the rain we got late yesterday. And a chance today and tomorrow, that'll better the odd's for our July 4th shindig!!! Speaking of that I need to go get me a large brisket today, and get some more hickory wood soaking too.

Unk Bob

Good Morning Everybody!

Rich, no hurry at all. It may or may not be here when you get home, so if it is, great. If not, that means I have money in my pocket. It's a win/win either way.

I'm gonna get nutty on this '56 today. I want to hear it run.

Good morning everybody. No paint work this weekend, 105 in the booth is a bit warm. I did get in some pool time and got chased out of MS Dent by a swarm of peeved off members of the wasp family. As soon as she fired up and them open headers started rattling her, they were on me like stink of poop.

Rich, you still hanging on to them stones?

Sheesh, they must be comfortable where they're at making you uncomfortable.

I've been hard at it on the '56. I had to make new clutch linkage for it. ...I didn't see that one coming. It works pretty good though.

I have the cooling and fuel system hooked up again, too. Just waiting on a couple odds and ends and I can see if it'll fire up.

Welcome back Ches! You should probably read June, but here are the high points...

Terry is now a mailman... Rich's kidneys are stoned, Alan has an awesome '53 Ford and has fixed numerous vehicles, I now have RC's '71 bumpside, RC's bus has an engine again, and probably lots of stuff I can't remember now.

Looks like it may rain here...

LOL! Well, Terry is an employee of the US Postal Service, and hopes to be a "mailman" by the end of July is a bit more accurate...I just finished day two of what looks to be about three weeks worth of training.

Rich's kidney's are stoned? Too funny...

Unless, of course, you're Rich...

Obviously "stoned kidneys" aren't against company policy...

What is this funny wet stuff falling from the sky? I was gonna wash my truck today too. I guess it's not so bad that I had to work through lunch after all.

I just had to do a road service call. I rebuilt this guy's carburetor a month ago. The floats stuck open. I told him he needs to replace all his rubber fuel lines because this is the second time I found rubber bits in the float bowl. I got him going, but I missed supper.

The '56 is lacking a couple dumb things. The most important thing is the starter I went through the trouble to clean and paint is no good. I just can't catch a break today.

Up at 03:30 at work by 04:00, take off with the sun rise, and fly till about noon. Eat lunch and get ready for a mission/crew brief at 16:00, dinner, fall asleep.

Get up and do all over again, I am ready for next week! Well at least I get the 4th off... but do NOT want any "fireworks" over here.

Yeah, I imagine that the word "fireworks" kinda has a different meaning for you right now...

In our neighborhood, however, they're already starting...and were still shooting them after 10pm last night...

Well I gave my notice to my apartment office yesterday that I wont be renewing my lease, and it turns out that my final day is August 31, instead of the September 31st I've been thinking the past few months!!

EEEK, Time to find a rent house, anybody have some good leads? In the KCMO area. I work on the southeast side near the bannister complex, so the closer the better.

Also dont have any plans for the 4th, so I should probably figure out what local fireworks are going to happen...
