IMHO, the most sane thing to do would be to get rid of both of them and buy a real nice 4x4 f150.

I am with him! That is what i would do for sure because you could have one hell of a nice 4x4. Seems like a huge project that is gonna take quite a long time and could end up being really costly. At any rate good luck with whatever you decide.
