Thats awesome! We have a little perkins on our chipper, but I have wondered about putting a bigger one in a truck and I think this just helped me decide! Do you know what kind hp you are getting?

Those Perkins diesels are stout little beasts, i have a 4.135 Perkins in my '83 Ranger (factory, not a retrofit), doesn't have much power but the thing runs forever.

A freind of mine had one of those some years ago.He put a turbo off of a dodge daytona.that shure woke it up but still wasn't a speed demond it got better fuel mpg.it hit 20lb of boost. That is a sharp looking truck.I was going to buy a 4.0 perkins phaser and put ina ranger then I got the one I have now from my dad and put the 6.0 in her.

Ford finally got smart after 2yrs of the non-turbo diesel and installed a turbo on the later diesel Rangers, it helped bump the horsepower numbers nearly 50%.
