what is socket size for lugnut on F250 6.7? I want to torque my wheels with 1/2 drive, but need socket size to buy.

 

I think it's 13/16 or 15/16, can't remember exactly.

Actually it is none of the above. You guys need to accept that 90% of the hardware on these trucks is metric including the lug nuts!

 

I don't have stock tires, so I don't know the size. However, why make this statement and not provide the correct size then?

 

Think it might be 22mm, but 13/16ths works just as good.

 

Technically it's a 21mm. A sloppy 13/16" will work just fine.

 

I use 21mm, it fits properly. I also have far more metric socket sets than SAE sockets kicking around.

 

I use a 21mm socket. 3/4" drive. Nice good hold on that sucker and it's much easier to deal with. 1/2" drive just won't do......

 

What are the lug nut torgue specs on the SRW. All I saw in the manual was 95ft lbs for F350 DRW. Is it the same for all Superduty trucks.

Sounds right j. I put my hand about 16" toward the end of my ratchet and apply most of my weight (175) which should net me about 165 ft-lb of torque on them. I worked it out years ago and don't think about it anymore.

 

165 ft/lbs is the spec in my owners book. I tighten mine with a 1/2" drive torque wrench, 21mm socket sounds right. I rotate the tires (SRW) every oil change which I do myself.
