81 Custom F100 Explorer Price Help

Hello everyone!

I'm considering selling my 81 f100. I bought it for $500 (They were asking $750) and replaced the brakes, the muffler, installed a caddy converter, and ran new pipes. I also fixed the oil leak it had when I bought it. The interior isn't in the best condition. The seats are a little stained and the glove box can't close. Also the radio speakers weren't working so I took the radio out and wired computer speakers into the doors to use with my phone as a radio. It's a little rusted and dented but it runs very well and gets about 18mpg. It also has a bed cap. I'm hoping to sell it for at least $1000. Would I be asking too much?

Thanks for your help.

You'd probably be able to sell it for that much.

Take a picture of the interior and exterior of the truck to get us an idea. It might even be able to go for $1500 depending on how other trucks sell in your area.

what motor is in it? what are all the specs? are there any noises? smells? just a few things to keep in mind...the buyer may or may not be a ford savvy person. i have an 81 f100 that i bought for 400 over 6 months ago with a 300 L6 mated to a c6 and a 9" rear. really picked it up for the motor, but the more i got into the truck, the more i could appreciate the simplicity of it. what area you trying to sell it, if you don't mind me asking?

It really depends on the condition. High value would be aproximately $3500 for a daily driver in immacculate condition. Low value would be around $500. Explorer package could add a couple $100, if it's in good condition and got a lot of options.
