Molding for 1965 long box

I am looking for the complete trim package for a 1965 F100 long bed. I have tried LMC & Dennis Carpenter already, any help would be appeciated. I have done frame up restoration on this truck and I do not want to put the old chrome back on.

Only place to get it now is used. Guess to many complained about the price and with them not selling it is not cost effective to make more.

DO NOT buy from LMC. If they have it, it is made by someone else and can be bought cheaper elsewhere.

Welcome to FTE

The mouldings are not chrome, they're anodized aluminum. Since the mouldings are no longer reproduced, you have two choices.

1) Have the mouldings re-anodized.

2) Strip the anodizing off, polish the aluminum.

You might luck out, find the mouldings NOS:

2) C5TZ-16722-A .. R/L Hood Moulding.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.
-------------------------------------------------------
2) C5TZ-8102328-A .. R/L Cowl Moulding.

HAVEN FORD in Haven KS has 1 = 620-465-2252.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has 2 = 606-787-5293.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 17 = 800-543-4959.
---------------------------------------------------------
1) C5TZ-8120938-A .. Right Door Moulding.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------
1) C5TZ-8120939-A .. Left Door Moulding.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------
1) C5TZ-81423A16-A .. Right Cab Corner Moulding.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------
1) C5TZ-81423A17-A .. Left Cab Corner Moulding.

GREEN SALES CO. has 1.
------------------------
1) C5TZ-9929038-A .. Right 8' Quarter Panel (bedside) Moulding.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

About 15ys ago before they started reproducing the trim i had mine redone the process is called 'bright anodize'. I think i had mine done at a place called Impalla Bobs in Arizona. if i remember it was about $100 a piece for the long bed side pieces. Go onto Google or Hemmings and see if you can find a replating shop.

good luck

For y'all's info: These are only the R & L cowl mouldings that I alluded to in post 6, not the complete set of mouldings.

btw: A coupla months ago, some one said that Carolina Classics (800-598-4211), who was the original reproducer, was planning to make these mouldings again.

You are correct, Rick at Carolina Classics is the one having them made. You need to call him for availability.

Not sure what is more up to date, their catalog or their web site. I do see on their web site where the trim does not appear to be in stock. I tried to call them but it went to voice mail.

I have a set of NOS short bed moldings, just the two pieces for the short bed sides themselves. PM me if you have a need. Still in their original wrappers.

Rick could be on the road going to a show somewhere. He has told me if you call leave a message and call back number. If not he treats it as a robo call.

Edit: Just saw on another page some locals at Carlisle All Ford Nationals, you can safely presume that he is there.
