I've also seen many other 6.7 owners pull into a parking lot and shut their truck down instantly, maybe people forget their driving a turbo diesel due to how quiet they are, and forget the importance to let the turbo cool down??

Bingo!!! Tuned or stock, it doesn't matter, Always let your Turbo Diesel Engine cool down. Folks are more concerned with how long to let your engine warm up before driving her and forget how important it is to let her cool down. I do not know ANY folks with Turbo issues, tuned or not, simply because they treat there Turbo's right. So if you want to tune your 6.7L go for it, just use common sense when it comes to these Turbo's.

I'd rep you if I could. Just because the engine is turning 1500-2500 rpm's doesn't mean your spool was. That turbo get's HOT.

I remember when Andrew told me that I won't ever change the MM setting from "performance" or whatever you first geners were using...I told him that I would
LIES
It's on performance unless I'm towing. Period. WFO Club member as well.

Lies for sure!

I turn off WFO when I enter my hood. 3 blocks is plenty of cool down.

I agree with what others have said, using T6 and changing every 6,000 miles is good for the turbo

Gangster D in da hood!

I just wanted to hear my exhaust, that's where it all started for me. I honestly thought I would never turn up the power. I'm the same now, always on performance

Sorry,

Darren I still use cheap T3 (dino oil), but I have it changed every 3000 cuz it's so cheap in town and I like to hang out at the shop.

I looked at the threads you provided and even in that case your looking at a max of 10 people per how many truck buyers that don't have problems? We need to realize that people who post on here represent less then 1% of F250/F350/F450/F550 owners.

But with that being said:

They have changed a lot from the end of 2010 to the new 2014s and are changing the turbo completely to a GT37 from a GT32. I posted about this change a couple of days ago, and only had one reply so I assume nobody had any interest in it.

Also, As per your question of why stock trucks are failing more then tuned trucks, I have one answer for you. Emissions. With the EGR becoming larger and larger as motors evolve, they are plaguing our rigs. Case and point why I am all for deleting your truck. When you take out the EGR your not putting used exhaust back through your turbo, back through your combustion chamber. This can't be good for the LONGEVITY of the motors, hence why I assume all the turbo failures on stock trucks your talking about. Also with the Particulate filter, so I have to have something on my truck that prevents the motor from breathing properly, use MORE fuel and now have to buy a substance that at the cheapest is $5-6 per gallon. EPA is an evil monster that just keeps pushing on more tax, more restriction. Speaking of tax, this is off topic, but did you guys know over half of the cost of a bottle of liquor is Tax???

Anyways, sorry about the rant, just pretty frustrated over all these bullcrap laws that are starting to come about. What happened to a free America? Pretty soon, people are gonna stop putting United States of America on the maps and put PRA(People's Republic of America).
Sorry, I can't help but get tired of the inaccurate and inflated DEF prices I see spread around Lets not make DEF more evil than it already is.

Do you run the t3 in your truck during the winter Andre? I'm running that right now, but I'm gonna switch to the blue jug t6 before it gets too cold.
