t5 problems
i swapped a t5 transmission from a s-10 into my 52 ford f3. i am trying to rundown a grinding noise coming from the transmission. i replaced the throwout bearing and the input shaft bearing on the transmission. with the transmission partially apart i couldnt find any obvious problems. the noise is only present when the clutch is depressed either in gear out out of gear. left in neutral there isnt any noise. i initially thought the throwout bearing was the culprit and replaced both that and the input shaft bearing. does anyone know what could be wearing out? the transmission shifts perfectly but there is a binding noise when the clutch is released in first and sometimes second gear. another binding noise is present when making a hard left turn while starting out. im at a loss here

t5 transmission problems
85, when i removed the transmission i noticed that three arms of the pressure plate werenot the same distance from the flywheel.and the new throwout bearing was shot. the flywheel bushing mating to the input shaft is not the problem. the shaft goes in approximately an inch. the pressure plate may be the original. i will replace it and install a new clutch from speedway. hope that is my problem
