Wanted to get some feedback in regards to hauling 8k pounds with my H&S Minimax in place. anyone have any issues running in hot and if so what is the best setting to run in ?

 

I messed around with it a bit pulling about 10k fifth wheel. I would be a bit careful, I have heard of a few turbos go out towing on hot. Pulled up a long 9% grade on hot. Boost was at 28 PSI for a long time, EGT bouncing around 1400 and coolant up to 222. Was fun passing @ 80 mph up 9% grade but not something I would do every day. A bit too much IMHO.

I don't have any issues towing on mild. If you want to tow on hot I would set some defuels. I think the sustained loads could be a bit too much if you push it too hard. Just my opinion, lots of guys will say now problem towing on HOT.
