Which door panel clips

Okay, it's been awhile since I pulled the door panels off of my 89. I had been fighting the power windows. Once all the way down, something would bind and I had to unscrew the motor and hit it with something to relieve the pressure. Then it would just go back together and I could move the windows again. Never did figure that out. So, I just don't roll the windows down all the way. Anyway, I'm thinking I should put the door panels back on someday, but the original clips were gone before I bought the truck and it had all manner of different clips holding the panels in place. Some were very difficult to get loose. Others seemed to barely be holding anything, and they ranged in length from barely sticking through the door to about a mile long. What is the correct clip for these? I see that LMC has them for about a buck a piece. But their number doesn't seem to cross to anything. The parts stores have the rack of them, but nobody there knows which is which. "Oh, this says it's for a Ford. I'm sure this is it!" Uh, you just said that about this other one that is completely different. Right. Anyway, does anybody know?

Ok, I've been to Autozone and yes, they do have them in packs for Ford, GM, etc. However, there are more than one type for each mfr. I was guessing an inch long would work, but which head is the right head? I don't know which of all of the broken fasteners is the "right" one. I guess I could just pick one that fits in the hole and call it good, but with a big enough hammer, any of them will fit in the hole.

I would be willing to get one from any of those places, but again, which one.

I did find the push-type rivets for my car on Northland's site. After I ordered some off of Ebay from the UK.

Whateg01, If it were me, and you don't have an original for sure I would go to your fav. JY and find an 89 to 91 F-something and see if there any spares around... I would bet the ones from a van of the same range would work. Then look it up on one of those sites and order as many as you need with a few extras. Mine is a 90 and after all the years of door slaming mine are giving up on a regular basis and I just REFUSE to use upholstery screws unless absolutely the final option. The only other option would be to check with your local Ford dealer ... if they will even bother with it!!! Good luck on your search. Dave

They look like this:

The slot in the head slides into the groove in the door panel, then the 'threaded' portion just shoves into the hole in the door. I always have a pack of these laying around because I'm bound to bust at least one whenever I remove the panel.
