Would you buy this 6.0 tranny cooler?

Assuming it doesn't leak. The guy said the damage is cosmetic only. Looks like a 26 row? It came from a truck with a bad 6.0 and he's parting out the truck, the price for the cooler is $50. Should I hold off for a 31 row w/o damage? What do ya think? Thanks.

If it don't leak I'd say go for it, 26 or 31 row doesn't make any diff from what I've heard.
One good thing is you would never see it after you install it

I'd say no. Bends like that stress the metal, no telling when it will let go. Unless you have to tow something now and have no other money, walk away and do it right. A new one will cost you 3 tanks of fuel.

Hey Mike,
My question to you is, If you bought it would you really install it knowing it is damaged? You got a pretty nice rig there and I know you won't see it after install but you will know that it's damaged and if you are like me will worry about it.

I just bought a new 26 row from Ford and the price is hard to swallow, and I get dealer price and no tax. Crazy thing is you can buy a radiator from Ford with a Trans cooler in it for a hundred dollars cheaper. What's up with that? The way I looked at paying the insane price Ford wants for the cooler, was its protecting a $4000 transmission! $300 sounds cheap for the piece of mind. 98 degrees outside and I only have the 26 row cooler, no radiator cooler at this time and my thans never gets above 150 and that's with a well packed and overfilled bed full of wet firewood! Unless you can find one in premo condition and cheap, just buy the new one, you won't regret it!

Thanks everyone, I emailed him this morning and told him I was going to pass. I just wouldn't be able to fully trust it and my truck is worth a new cooler.
