stock peddle with hydraulic clutch? can it be done?

hey all I was wondering if any of you guys have set our trucks up with a hydraulic clutch? I'm building a 390 and want to put a t5 behind it and am having a problem figuring out how to keep my stock peddle with the new trans. thanks for your help!!

It certainly can be done, just install a second MC sized to the clutch under the floor hooked up to the pedal, similar to the way the brake is done. It may be easier to use a second brake pedal?

Take a look at the kits available to see how they did it. Take note of the m/c and leverages. Should be easy.

I used hanging pedals with my T-56. The PO had used the original 56 brake MC as the clutch MC (they had installed a new dual circuit brake MC with the disk front brakes). Since it was leaking I bought a new clutch MC that matched my transmission and clutch slave cylinder donor (92 Camaro) and used the same hose connection fittings, (inexpensive since it is molded plastic) and built a mount for it. It has a plastic remote reservoir So it would make servicing easy on your truck if it was mounted under the same floor inspection cover as the brakes.

That must have been interesting with the brake M/C's residual pressure valve!

I don't know what they did about the residual valve if there was one in the MC. It worked, but was very clumsy with a hanging clutch and thru the floor brake pedal, and brake fluid leaking all over the hacked up firewall.
