Axle code 06? 0n 1960 F250

I've searched and searched, I have a 60 F250, In the glove box the axle code is 06? I found axle code 04 is 4:56 and I might have found a possible axle code 05 as 4:11 but I cannot find "06" Did I read it wrong? I realize the dana 60 gears may have been changed over the years but I'm just looking for a starting point.

thanks

bob

Bob my book say 06 = 4.88! Do you have an axle tag?

wow that's low. thanks I'll have to look for the tag, I about to start tearing into it or trade/sell it off. I really didn;t want another project when I got the truck. The description of the condition was "not" truthful.. And I was very specific...

I have an OD tranny here maybe I'll swap it in.. over the c6.

4.88's are stump pullers all-right! I think you can go to 4.56 without changing carriers. But for a street truck with C6 I'd go to the low 3's!
My truck has the 4.56 and I'll be running .7 OD with 33 inch tall tires. Still be running 2000 RPM at 60 MPH.
Food for thought!
