Good Morning Roger, Here is a "Hot Topic" for you. I think that one of the most annoying things about this thread/forum is the people that pop in to say Hi, but don't bother to stick around to chat or talk about anything pertinent.
I am subscribed to the Iowa Chapter because I live in Iowa. I want to hear what is going on in Iowa and to see if I can help out a fellow Iowan. I see the bolded text on my User CP saying there is a new post in the Iowa Chapter and then come to find out it is someone not in Iowa with 20+k posts saying "good morning".
Maybe actual conversations would be going on in here if we got rid of the spammers.

That was my "experiment" when changing to the Spring chat thread, seeing who actually read the posts, and who was just mainly copy-and-pasting the daily message... I don't entirely take issue with others coming in and posting, but it would be nice if they would at least pay attention to the posts before them. It doesn't take long for pertinent posts to get buried without being noticed due to all the excess... Pat, I know you generally pay attention, and so does Rob when he takes the time as well. However, there are some that do not... Many times it is also the same message for the particular day of the week...

Good morning guys. I realize a chapter can get a lot of visitors in the BS forum, but, there are not a lot of guys that post in here from Iowa. Not Rogers fault, by any means. Would be nice to see more of the Iowa guys posting in here. Big reason I come in, I live right on the border with you guys. Now, if you guys would prefer that the out of staters not post in here, I would certainly respect your wishes. But, I enjoy coming by and chatting with Roger, and the other occasional Iowa members. So, just let us know. No hard feelings either way.
Personally, I am totally good with other locations chatting, if they at least chat... which you do Pat. At first, I thought having people coming through and posting would be ok, but it has kind of gotten to be the same song and dance routine over and over, without paying attention to the actual chats that try to pop up in between the repeated messages... For those that do pay attention and respond, I welcome you to continue. The main issue is the daily message that is repeated with no regard to what has been posted previously.
