Btw, on my truck I did away with all this stuff. Found a solid state IVR online, and removed the printed circuit and hard wired the entire cluster using all the factory gauges. It took about 2 hours and some soldering skills, but in the end I've got rock solid gauges that appear to be very accurate. It's a good job if you've got an afternoon to kill. I may even still have the spreadsheet I used to plan the job on if anybody wants it.
