Can anyone please help me with the exact weight of a 7.3l engine, ZF6 Transmission, and Transfer case. Need this quite urgently for a shipping quotation.

The dry weight of a ZF6 is 235 Lb. Sorry don't have the transfer or engine info, but will see if I can find some.

Page 6 is where he actually starts the engine install. He uses a 96 7.3 with an attached ZF 5 speed. Just thought it might help you get prepared for some of the small things that might come up during your build.

If the engine offers youve already had dont work out, my only idea would be to search craigslist in the area of your shipper in CA for someone parting out a ford that you could get the whole engine, trans, transfer case and all wiring and other small things from and have them remove them and take them to your shipping contact. And maybe someone here would be close enough by to go check it all out for you first. If you dont have any other luck, I'll keep an eye out for one here in TX.

I never would've believed that possible had I not seen it with my own eyes. What an awesome build!

Im only guessing here from when I took mine out but I would say around 150lbs. for the TC

when i shipped a zf6 and TC and some hardware it was 410lbs.

More confusion........

Have decided to go with a Garrett GTP38R Turbocharger.

Now, the Garrett agent in SA has never heard of it, but can supply me with any of the following units:

GT3582R with AR63 or AR82 turbine housing

GTX3071 with AR64 or AR86 turbine housing

GTX3582R with AR63 or AR82 turbine housing

Are any of these units the same as a 38R.?

Alternatively, is the there a Tubonetics unit that is the same as a 38R
www.turboneticsinc.com .?

Or perhaps another ball bearing turbo of the same quality and size of the 38R.?

Have you spoken to these guys Brad. Just done a google search and they have made several inquiries re importing Garret GTP38R turbos. There would have to be some one over there that stock em.

The last of my Autometer gauges arrived today. Is it possible to remove the cluster panel from the vehicle, and have only the Autometer gauges installed.?
