Ordered Altman Easy Latch
Well thanks for the great forum and all the information from here I ordered some Altman Easy Latch. My main goal was able to close and lock the truck up. The latches on my 51 f1 are wore out and has no driver lock.
I hope they go on as easy as the video does but seams this pickup has been a money pit.. lol

on the drivers side, in days past, the roads were narrow, so you didn't stand outside locking the drivers door. you pressed down on the inside handle to lock the door, and then slid across the bench seat, out the passenger side.. where u used the key to lock & unlock the door.

They are extremely easy to install and works great. The hardest part is cutting the door which isn't hard once you get the template drawn out. I got the stainless ones however I wished I would have gotten th steel ones and just welded them in. I can just push on the door and they will close, it took a while to stop slamming them when I first install the altman latches.
Great buy!
