Tire Clearence 1975 ranchero Rim Specs?
Hey this is Phil i need to know what is the rim fitment on a 1975 Ranchero6.6L 500 Series.
I am going to order special front shocks for my ranchero that will raise the front end height about by 1 inches max. If this works out correct i should be able to not have to worry about clearance issues. I am working toward getting a aggressive look before painting it I want my ranchero to be solid black. I also would like to purchase some used 15- 17's on there if i can. I want to put the roar back into the 75 ranchero.
I am working on trying to get bulky rims in the back and make it narrow in the front.
If i cannot find better rims i could just have the center peaces repainted because i hate the ugly black center peace on my rims. I want that all chrome/stainless steel look.
What i have been looking at since Dayton's would look weird on them because of the size is
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...&rw=&rc=WASINT
I want these in chrome or black..
I also Think if i could adapt these i could throw some 03-08 expedition stock rims on there
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-F150-EX...c918ab&vxp=mtr
I like the profile of these and they stand out perfect like i want them.

You are in the wrong forum.
What kind of wheels do you have now?
What size?
Jacking up our vehicle to put larger tires on it is a serious mistake. We all did that in the '60s and early '70s because we didn't know any better. Driving around with fubar'd suspension geometry and altered CG is not the way to go.
Are your springs sacked? Shocks, other than air shocks or coilovers, will not raise the car. And I would recommend neither for your Ranchero.

15 inch Enkei Wheels running on 235/60/15s I was just debating to change to Daytons if i can fit Daytons on it. I need more look in my ranchero and the 90's style spoke daytons i have my eyes on because they match my ranchero Rolling on gold colored rims with a gold colored body would all work together. My front end actually sits WAYYYYYYYY to low for a truck. it needs to be lifted a couple of inches if you look at it it points toward the ground in the front thus making water sit in the back of the bed. 1-3 inches should level it off.

May i request that the ranchero Forum name be broadened on the grounds to help others?
I think it would benefit the forum to update the forum title to 57-79
It will get some of the Fellow Ranchero Riders help in all areas. It would also help you and I a fellow ranchero driver to expand there knowledge instead of having all the ranchero drivers pile up on (THE COMPETITOR FORUMS).
I would love to contribute to this cause if i could. I love all ford drivers but hate the actions of some.

By "Dayton" wheel, do you mean the medium and HD truck wheel, like so?

The wheels in your link are the wrong bolt pattern. You need 5 on 4.5", (afaik, don't think the Ranchero went to the 5 on 5" pattern)
If your front end is too low, and you think the springs are sacked, consider new springs. Shock mounts are not meant to support the weight of the vehicle in most cases, and you can end up breaking the mounts in some cases.
1965-1979 Ford Ranchero Coil Springs - Moog, OE replacement - JCWhitney
Are you looking for the "drag race" look with the tall skinny tires up front with larger, much wider tires in back? This works great in two conditions: 1) it looks good if you like the drag race look. 2) drag racing.
On roads with corners, not so much....but it can be done if that's what you want.
In '75, I think slot mags were still available. Those were a favorite on earlier Torinos etc.
American Racing makes an "Ansen Sprint" looking wheel:

Chrome? What else looks better in chrome than these, the Cragar S/S:
Wheels : Cragar Wheels
They have painted wheels also.
As for finding them used, maybe....
Ford Explorer wheels in 15x7 and 16x7 are all over the place:

"Magnum 500" wheels--copies of them at least:

OP is trying to get away from the chrome or polished outer rim with dark center if I'm reading it right.

The cragars and i ment the wire wheels. the rest of them look horriable based on there color and do not mix with my rancheros paticular color
I went to West Coast Rim store today they will sell me the right wheels i like for 400
They are polished wheels.
Irony is i went to this store because i had to take a co worker home i will be getting payed 50 a week for caring him to work....
When i walked in the store i recognized a box.... Guess what?
The place i work for Shipped these exact rims to them... I work for On Trac shipping but anyway here is what the rims look like.
these are the wheels sort of the ones i agreed on.
